The Role:

Monarch is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join our team during a period of hyper-growth. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will own day-to-day IT support for Monarch teammates while improving the systems, documentation, automations, and access workflows that keep the company moving quickly and securely.

You will be a key partner to People, Security, and Business Ops to ensure onboarding, off-boarding, device security, and SaaS access are reliable, auditable, and scalable. As we scale rapidly following our Series B and continued subscriber growth, you'll play a critical role in building a world-class IT foundation for a fast-moving fintech company.

What You’ll Do:

• Own IT support operations — serve as the initial point of contact for hardware, software, and access requests across our fully distributed team, triaging and resolving issues efficiently with a high standard for response time and quality.

• Build Scalable Automations and AI Workflows — build and maintain automations and AI workflows using tools like Okta Workflows, n8n, OpenAI, Claude and similar platforms to streamline provisioning, requests, and routine operational work.

• Administer core SaaS tools and access management — manage and improve user provisioning, de-provisioning, and identity governance across Monarch's software stack (Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and others) through Okta and ConductorOne, partnering closely with HR and Ops on onboarding and off-boarding workflows.

• Support and strengthen our security posture — help implement and maintain IT security best practices including endpoint protection, SSO/MFA enforcement, and compliance with data privacy standards.

• Manage device lifecycle and MDM — oversee procurement, configuration, deployment, and off-boarding of employee devices through our MDM platform (Kandji) and logistics partners, ensuring security and compliance at every stage.

• Identify opportunities to scale and improve — proactively spot inefficiencies in our IT processes, recommend and deploy tooling improvements, and help build scalable documentation and self-service resources as the team grows.

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of hands-on IT Support, Engineering, and/or Systems Administration experience (preferably in a remote or distributed environment) .

• Experience supporting and administering MacOS devices, common SaaS tools, and employee endpoints in a cloud-first environment (experience with Kandji/Iru strongly preferred) .

• Working knowledge of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Identity Governance Administration (IGA) concepts such as SSO, SCIM, least privilege, role-based access, provisioning, and de-provisioning (Okta experience required) .

• Demonstrated ability to develop complex automations using Okta Workflows , n8n , or similar iPaaS/automation tools as well as incorporating and working with 3rd party apis.

• Strong verbal and written communication, strong customer service instincts, and the ability to manage multiple requests with clear prioritization.

The Role:

Monarch is hiring a Senior Security Engineer, Detection and Response to join our Security team within Foundations — the first dedicated hire for this function. Reporting to the TLM of the Corporate & Infrastructure Security squad, you will build detection, automation, and response capabilities while working with IT to harden the tools people use every day.

What makes this role different is the AI mandate. Monarch is genuinely AI-first, and we expect you to bring that mindset to the security engineering team — using LLM-augmented workflows to accelerate detection authoring, automate phishing triage, analyze logs, and build internal tooling. You'll also be responsible for governing the enterprise AI platforms themselves (e.g. Claude, OpenAI) as corporate security surfaces. If you've been waiting for a security role where AI fluency isn't a nice-to-have but a core expectation, this is it.

You'll join a lean, senior security team that has strong foundations already in place — SOC 2 Type 2 complete, best in-class tooling — and you'll build the next layer of security maturity on top of that. Monarch is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead and grow our Application & Product Security squad. Reporting directly to the Head of Foundations, you will own the direction of product, application, and AI security at a company where security is a competitive differentiator and a genuine reflection of how much we care about our members. • Lead and grow the Application & Product Security squad, defining the team's charter, KPIs, and roadmap and holding the team accountable to measurable outcomes

• Combining strong engineering execution with strategic leadership to drive the squad forward

• Own the strategic direction of product, application, and AI security — translating business and regulatory risk into a clear, prioritized program

• Drive vulnerability management end-to-end with urgency, owning reporting across Monarch's product surface area

• Lead offensive security programs including penetration testing, bug bounty, and threat detection & incident response

• Embed AI-first, automated approaches to securing the engineering pipeline and SDLC — replacing manual processes with AI agents where appropriate

What You'll Bring:

• 8+ years in security engineering with at least 3 years leading security teams

• Hands on experience building scalable Product Security programs

• Deep expertise in application security, secure SDLC, and vulnerability management

• Experience owning offensive security programs (pentesting, bug bounty, or IR)

• Demonstrated ability to build structure, define KPIs, and drive teams toward measurable outcomes

• Transformative AI fluency - you actively use and drive AI-first approaches in your work

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in fintech or with financial data security requirements

The Role:

We are always looking for talented Engineers to join our team as we continue to grow and scale and have several pods that will be hiring later this year. Here's some additional information on our Engineering pods/focus areas at Monarch:

• Core Product : The Core Product team is responsible for building and improving our core Monarch features like budgeting, goals, and reports across our web and mobile platforms.

• Growth : The Growth team works on building product experiences that help Monarch to reach more users, and to help those users through the path to financial success using Monarch. They work on rapid experimentation, a/b testing, improving our onboarding flow and initiatives around customer engagement and retention.

• Aggregation: The Aggregation team owns the process that allows our users to see your whole financial life in one view. They handle all of data connectivity, making sure all of your financial data is delivered safely and accurately into Monarch.

• Infra/Platform: This team handles our infrastructure and developer tooling to help the rest of the team ship faster and more reliably.

• Security: We place the utmost importance on our customers' security and privacy. Our security team improves our overall security posture and helps individual teams maintain a focus on security and privacy.

• RevX: Our newest pod at Monarch will focus on identifying and executing ways to augment our product offering at Monarch. Work will involve validating and building out zero-to-one user experiences.
